A Visual Diary in
Uncertain Times
2020/2021

Born from the crucible of global uncertainty and quarantine, this project transforms the constraints of isolation into a wellspring of creativity. Filmed entirely from a residential rooftop during lockdown, it offers a unique perspective on our radically altered daily lives.

Drawing inspiration from the unlikely trio of fashion blogs, paparazzi photography, and crime drama television, the project weaves a compelling visual narrative through a combination of still images and animated GIFs. It reimagines the home as an infinite source of inspiration, turning the limitations of physical space into an opportunity for daily artistic exploration.

At its core, this work investigates the intersection of domestic space and global events. It seeks to bridge the gap between the intimate and the universal, bringing the far-away world into our most personal spaces. By doing so, it creates a visual dialogue between isolation and global connectivity, reflecting the paradoxical nature of our quarantine experiences.

The resulting body of work stands as a testament to the power of creativity in the face of adversity. It captures the unique zeitgeist of this historical period, documenting our collective experience while exploring the endless potential for inspiration within the confines of our own homes.
